Review excerpt from Amazon:

I was looking for a tablet to read professional journals and articles to keep me occupied on flights. For the most part, the Lenovo Ideapad K1 met most of my expectations.

Right out of the box I found most apps will work including the document reader. If you had one of the earlier shipped models you might find the Netflix app is missing. I also found many of the market apps were unstable notably Google Sky. I would advise you perform a system update which will provide Netflix and various stability fixes. Google Sky seemed to work much better after the update.

The documents reader tha comes bundled with this tablet is a definite bonus. For example, I’m able to read all Microsoft Office attachments in my e-mails. I can also download PDF’s and view them. The PDF rendering speed is very quick indeed. Its fast enough that I can scroll smoothly in each document. Panning and scrolling in a zoomed PDF page is smooth and easy to use.

The built-in wifi receiver reception is probably not as good as my iPhone or the laptop I use. The signal strength typically on this device is about one below that on my other devices.

Review excerpt from Amazon:

I carried out quite a  bit of of research before I opted to buy the Iconia. I nearly chose the ASUS Transformer but I have am very happy I chose the Iconia. The size and weight of this device hasnt been an issue even with a leather case. The device itself is very solid and has a great feel to. The screen is however a magnet for fingerprints but thats pretty much the case with a lot of tablet devices. My only real grip is with the Wi-Fi signal strength. I can pretty much get a signal anywhere but I sometimes find there is some lag when connected to a Wi-Fi Network. It may be down the the WiFi signal itself as the device never has any problems finding a network when its in range.

There has been the odd issue playing YOUTube videos on occasion. I use the stock browser thats install on the device and sometimes the videos won’t play properly. The battery life has been superb and the screen is very bright with excellent vibrant colors. I would have liked to see the Netflix app for this device. I like to watch movies on portable devices as it seems the perfect size for this. The Android OS is fantastic and this device represents excellent value for money. In my opinion it is one of the best deals currently available for Android Tablets.
